Dumpster rental in Lehigh Acres
Lehigh Acres isn't a city, so Lee County runs trash collection and the roads. Knowing the county's curbside limits tells you whether a project needs a roll-off at all.
Phone hours: Monday–Saturday 8 a.m.–8 p.m. and Sunday 8 a.m.–1 p.m., Eastern time
What Lee County picks up at the curb
| Item | County curbside rule |
|---|---|
| Car tires | Up to two a week; larger tires go to the Buckingham facility |
| Refrigerator, washer, range | Set out on trash day; tagged and collected within three business days |
| Wood fencing | Up to two yards a week, stacked neatly with the garbage |
| Branches and brush | Cut to 6 ft or less, bundled at 50 lb or less |
| Computers and TVs | Next to the garbage but kept separate, or taken to Topaz Court |
Lee County lists the details on its curbside services, appliance and yard waste pages. Missed pickups go to your franchised garbage company, not this number.
Projects that outgrow the curb
Clearing a wooded lot before building a fence, gutting a kitchen, or replacing every floor in the house all make more than the weekly limits allow. Lee County also requires contractors and homeowners to divert construction debris toward recycling, which a rental company handles by taking the load to a recycler.
Buckingham Road is close by
Lee County's construction and demolition recycling facility sits on the Resource Recovery campus at 10550 Buckingham Road, west of Lehigh. It's open Monday to Wednesday 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday and Friday until 5, and Saturday morning. Everything checks in at the scale house.
If you'd rather haul a few pickup loads yourself, that's the place. Asphalt shingles are the exception: the campus no longer takes them.
On a county road
Most streets here are county roads. Lee County DOT treats the right of way as county property and requires a permit for work that blocks a lane or affects traffic. A container in your driveway avoids the question. If it has to sit on the road edge, ask DOT first.
On a private road or inside a gated community, the county doesn't issue the permit. Ask the association.
