Dumpster for yard waste and landscaping
Palms drop fronds all year, and a hedge of sea grape or ficus left alone for a season turns into a truckload. Plenty of that goes out at the curb. A container makes sense when the job is too big, too heavy or too mixed.

What curb pickup already takes

|---|---|---|
| City of Fort Myers | Up to 10 cubic yards | Keep brush apart from junk |

| Cape Coral | Bundled or bagged | Contractors take their own trimmings |

When a roll-off is the better call
Curb crews won't take stumps, root balls, logs or dirt. Cape Coral's drop-off site turns them away too. That leaves a rental for jobs like these:
- Taking out a row of overgrown hedges, roots and all
- Pulling up old landscape rock or rubber mulch before new sod
- Clearing a lot or a back fence line that hasn't been touched in years
- A full redesign where plants, edging and pavers all come out at once
Weight changes with what's in it
Dry fronds and branches are light, so a 20 or 30-yard container suits a big brush job. Stumps with soil on the roots, wet sod and landscape rock are heavy, and they belong in a 10-yard container or a load of their own.
Some companies want yard waste kept clean, with no trash or lumber mixed in, because it goes to a different place than household debris. Ask when you book.
Hired a tree service?
In Cape Coral, city code puts the cleanup on the company doing the work: tree trimmers, landscapers and fence crews remove their own residue. Elsewhere, check whether hauling is in your quote. If it isn't, a container on site lets the crew drop limbs straight in.
